Andrew Lipsky is the Founder and sole Owner of Lipsky’s Brewing Company. Growing up between the Florida Keys and Appalachia, he brings a unique style to, not only his beer, but his daily life.

Not being one for convention, Andrew set out to “Save the World,” traveling for several years with Greenpeace to places such as Australia, Thailand and New Zealand. After saving the whales and rainforest, Andrew found his way “accidentally” into brewing by answering a craigslist ad for a job.
Quickly learning the trade, there weren’t many opportunities to advance back in the day without relocating both his job, and family. He moved around and gradually built his resume and skills, all which are being brought to the table for you! Fast -forward more than a decade later, there are many possibilities in this industry; from positions, to recipes, to markets and friends. Andrew is setting out to showcase his knowledge and skills to consistently bring you the best quality beer! Cheers!
Our Story
Over the Years
2008
The Origin
Started home brewing and worked FOH in a brewery 2008. “Accidentally” landed a job as a Warehouse Manager at Alewerks Brewing in Williamsburg, VA off craigslist and learned how to brew, cellar and package.
2009
Joined SawWorks
Was Packaging Manager at SawWorks in Knoxville, TN where I learned how to can beer.
2011
Brewer at Lazy Hiker
First official Brewer Role was at Lazy Hiker Brewing in Franklin, NC where I learned recipe development and Sales.
2012
Joined Hop Valley
Moved up to a 4 vessel, 60 barrel system at Hop Valley in Eugene, OR.
2016
Brewer at Oscar Blues
Became a brewer at Oskar Blues in Brevard. NC
2021
Head Brewer Watauga Brewing
Continued the brewing journey as the Head Brewer of Watauga Brewing Company in Johnson City, TN
2024
Founded Lipsky’s Brewing
Launched Lipsky’s Brewing Company in the hunt for the perfect local brews!
